School Name:Sto.Angel Central Elementary School(SACES)
To provide pupils easy for transportation and a school to educate from, campaign in early part of 1946 was launched for
the opening of the extension classes in the barrio. Though the able leadership and initiative of Mr. Benito Flores, the barrio
lieutenant and the assistance of other elder, Thomas Aquino, Candido Del Rosario, Faustino Del Rosario, Felix Vijor, and Gaudencio
Gatchalian, a resolution was passed to the division office seeking for the opening of extension classes Mr. Democrito Santos
made this possible.
The resolution was given an approval and two classes were opened. They were temporary housed in the barn. The pioneer
teachers were Mrs. Natalia O. Infante and Mrs. Asuncion Fernandez.
The movement for establishing a permanent school. Site gained momentum with the access money from the barrio fiesta.
A delegation to move politician in manila was made possible. They were able to solicit an amount for the purchase of half-hectare
of the land from Mrs. Cirila Garcia, the mother-in-law of Dr. Alfredo Cruz a second delegation to representative Estanislao
Fernandez was made and it was given a fork barrel and a class room was constructed. An additional haft-hectare was acquired.
At present, the school has an area of 10,238 sq. meter several buildings were already constructed to mention are
the following; San Luis type building, Bagong Lipunan Building, Marcos type Building, Filipino-Chinese Building Chamber of
Commerce Building, Canteen and Administration Building. All these buildings have toilets of his own. Another school building
was constructed last school year 2006-2007,the governor Terisita Lazaro building with four classroom with toilets and this
school year 2007-2008,a two classroom with toilets from Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
The resent typhoon (milenyo) brought damage to the physical set up of the school but with assistance and cooperative
of the teachers ,parents and barangay and the government; the school is back to its usual shape and structure.
As of now, it has an enrollment of 823 pupils with 22 national funded Elem.Teachers one pre-elem. Teacher (PTCA
funded) and one school janitor.
Santo Angel Central Elementary School has produce a no. of successful graduates among them are; Marian Magcalas,
a tax analysis, Nora Asuncion, a bank supervisor, Leonora Gamat, a nurse, Gerario Joven, a college professor, Nenita Demasero,
a college instructor, Anabel Jovellano a medical technologist, Edwin Santiago, Psychologist and other successful teachers,
engineer, lawyers, and government employees. Other successful Graduates are now residing abroad and elsewhere.
